The Glass Tower was made on commission for the Dutch Government Buildings Agency and installed at the entrance to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in 1976. The base was recessed below ground level to make it look as though the glass had erupted from the earth. Made up of a total of 1,032 crystal cubes, the Glass Tower is the largest glass sculpture in the country.

In 2016 the tower moved to it's spot along the Linge in Leerdam. Opposite the factory where it was made in the 70's.
